Description
A special edition developed in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Inspired by William Morris’s (British, 1834–1896) Violet and Columbine, a textile design registered in 1883, this weave was developed through contemporary techniques with a nod to traditional craftsmanship. Sketching and digital rendering in the Chilewich design studio helped translate the inspiration into a modern woven structure, bringing new functionality to its organic forms, rich colors, and complex pattern repeats. Made in the USA for indoor/outdoor use.

About Chilewich:

Since 2000, New York based designer and founder Sandy Chilewich has used innovative techniques to create sustainable textiles that consistently are redefining how the world styles its tables and covers its floors. Their signature textiles exude durability through their environmentally-safe extruded yarns, tremendous design versatility, and easy-to-clean nature - making them equally perfect for kitchen spills as they are playroom rugs.
