- Description
This archival print is a replica of a Turkish flat tapestry-woven kilim rug originating from the tribal and nomadic cultures of Anatolia. Each region producing kilims employs its own distinctive patterns and colors in the rug design. The kilim weaving technique creates clearly defined geometric shapes which are highly valued by collectors. Kilims are used either as prayer rugs or purely for decoration. In recent years, these textiles have become an increasingly popular collector's item around the world. Dimensions: 20.5" W x 23.5" H This archival print is float-mounted on a natural linen, which provides a 1" border between the print and frame. The piece is offered in our lucite frame. The print itself is subtly blind embossed with our monogram in the bottom right hand corner. The frame is equipped with wire to be hung either vertically or horizontally.
