Description
Two pieces in one. This charming basket handcrafted with meticulous detail, featuring knots that represent the mushroom's white spots and delicate fringes on the trunk. The braided cord is filled with fibers from recycled PET bottles, dyed and blended with our cotton, adds structure and durability to the basket. 1'3" x 1'3" x 1'1" This is a unique artisan piece, carefully designed by Lorena Canals and sustainably handcrafted in our own factory using natural fibers and upcycled materials, non-toxic dyes, and a firm commitment to the planet and people. From the design process, to material sourcing and production, we always choose options that minimize waste and ensure long-lasting designs. Imaginative play: Our toys are designed to stimulate imaginative play, providing children with endless opportunities for exploration and creativity. As they interact with our toys, children engage their senses through play. They improve essential cognitive skills, promote sensory development, and encourage children to explore different textures and shapes. By offering a blend of play and learning, our toys create enriching and educational experiences while having fun! Decorative: Designed to be both a source of fun playtime and a charming addition to your child's room decor, bringing joy and style to their space all at once. This design grows with kids, from play time to becoming a decorative object at home! Handcrafted: If you own one of our signature home rugs, you know it is a one-of-a-kind piece. Because it is handcrafted by Indian artisans and not the result of mass production. Each Lorena Canals product is carefully handcrafted by our artisans in our own factory in India using ancestral craft techniques. The result is a piece of art with slight variations inherent in artisanal work. Finding beauty in imperfection. Solidarity: Our rugs stand for solidarity. Touched by seeing children whose future is determined by their family's economic circumstances, Lorena Canals decided to offer her own social support by giving them access to education. This is how the Sakûla Project was born, a nursery school in the north of India where street children can receive food and education. There are currently 120 children attending the school and counting. Color: Red, New terracotta, Aubergine, Vintage red, Maple red, Ivory, Natural Size: 1'3" x 1'3" x 1'1"

About Lorena Canals:

For over 25 years, Lorena Canals has focused on creating high quality décor for children’s rooms. One day, while watching her kids play on a rug, Lorena had a thought: “Why can’t we wash our children’s rugs at home?” Today, Lorena Canals offers a huge range of machine washable rugs that are chic and cozy, but most importantly – functional. All Lorena Canals rugs undergo an extensive handmade elaboration process based on the selection of the best raw materials, the use of natural dyes, the control of non-child labor in the production process and the compliance of quality and safety regulations for children. Best of all: the brand donates a large portion of their proceeds to provide schooling for children in northern India.
