Hello Updo began with our own hair story. For years, we were told our hair wasn’t good enough, but it always was. Every texture, curl, wave, and strand deserved care, not correction. We created Hello Updo to protect the hair we were once taught to fix, and quickly learned that nearly every woman carries a similar memory of being told her hair needed to be different.

As our stories connected, the mission became bigger than us. The everyday essentials we all rely on—hair ties, scrunchies, scarves, and bonnets—should care for the hair we actually have.
