Pride-Themed Storytime
Every Thursday, the
Brooklyn Public Library hosts a “Read with PRIDE!” virtual storytime on Facebook Live. Join with your littles to listen to stories with themes of inclusion, acceptance, and love.
Join the Rainbow
Throughout the month of June, the
Miami Children’s Museum is hosting a virtual “Rainbow Families Celebration” with events that promote inclusivity for LGBTQ families. Offerings include art projects, storytimes, and workshops, and the events that have already occurred are posted so you can watch any time.
Stream a Parade or Festival
Cities across the country, including
NYC and
San Francisco have moved their Pride celebrations online, so you can join where you live… or anywhere. Or, tune in to
Global Pride 2020, a 24-hour virtual event with an incredible roster of speakers and performers.
Run (or Walk) to Raise Money
Pop your kiddo into the jogging stroller and run a virtual 5k (or walk with your littles). Join a race that typically is held in-person where you live (
Atlanta, and
Chicago, and
Seattle
are all hosting), or support another city’s efforts.
Paint a Pride Flag
Join the
National Liberty Museum with your art supplies to paint a rainbow flag. As the educator host paints each color, she’ll teach your kiddo about what it represents and the importance of the LGBTQ+ flag and movement.
