Smoothies For Your Veggie-phobe
Our resident nutritionist has stirred up two seriously delicious smoothies that are packed with nutrient-rich ingredients to power your minis through summer.

We’ve all heard of kids who devour raw broccoli and leafy greens with gusto… key words here being heard of, because I’ve never actually seen it. The kids I know need a little help embracing our more fibrous friends, so we asked the expert how to get it done. The secret? Cauliflower rice.
Raspberry and Cauliflower Smoothie
Yield: serves 3-4
Ingredients
1 cup frozen cauliflower rice
1 cup frozen raspberries (or any berry of choice)
1 ripe banana
1 cup almond/coconut milk
1 cup whole milk yogurt
Method:
Place all ingredients in a blender, turn to high and blend for 2 minutes until smooth.
Pro tip! Frozen fruit and vegetables are chilled when they are freshly picked and offer extremely high nutrient content. Keep a couple bags of organic berries and cauliflower rice in the freezer to combine with kitchen staples for a super easy smoothie bursting with kid-friendly flavor.
Chocolate Almond Smoothie
Yield: serves 3-4
Ingredients
2 cups cauliflower rice
3 tbsp almond butter
6-8 pitted dates
2 cups almond/coconut milk
1 ripe banana
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
4 ice cubes
Method:
Place all ingredients in a blender, turn to high and blend for 2 minutes until smooth.
