What You'll DoMaisonette is hiring a Director of Analytics, reporting to the COO, to build a team and capability around data and analytics from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing analytics teams, building roadmaps, building and maintaining databases/systems/tools, and communicating insights from data to senior management. This position will be the driving force in shifting the company’s culture towards data fluency to continuously assess and maintain operational and financial health. Working across all business units, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter and will work well in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
Build an analytics roadmap aligned to the strategic and operational needs of the business, and partner with Engineering team to execute this roadmap
Partner with business stakeholders to establish and monitor ongoing KPIs, build out data platforms and infrastructures, and define new business metrics
Foster and reinforce a culture of data-driven decision making; ensure data fluency within the company and train to enhance self-service analytics capabilities
Determine how KPIs impact operational and financial performance of the business, work with business unit leaders to strategize accordingly
Conduct adhoc analytics projects as required by management and investors
What You'll Bring5+ years experience building and managing upon complex data sets that drive business intelligence
Strong capability in SQL; capability in additional languages such as Python and R a plus
Experience building business intelligence tools from scratch
Prior experience with data front-end platforms (Looker, Google Analytics)
Ability to inform both technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to understand business questions posed by executive leadership and business units, translate the questions into analytics, and then re-interpret the results back to stakeholders
Passionate advocate for data and the impact it can have on decision making
Track record of working cross-functionally
