Vogue Veteran’s of a combined 20+ years, Co-founders Sylvana Durrett and Luisana Mendoza Roccia started their business after becoming frustrated when trying to shop for their kids online, finding themselves spending an exorbitant amount of time on numerous sites trying to find unique, quality products they needed for their growing children.
Maisonette achieves for the kids’ market what Net-a-Porter and Farfetch did for womenswear and menswear: stock hundreds of brands, from cult and international houses to little-known labels, in one convenient location online. An estimated 90 percent of new parents are millennials, whose consumer behavior has comepletely shifted with a rapidly changing socio-econmoic demographic and social media-led culture. Maisonette combines the high-touch, local boutique shopping experience with the convenience and optionality of e-commerce. In addition to creating the first one-stop shopping destination across all children’s product categories ( apparel, accessories, home décor, furniture, toys and gear) Maisonette, in a short time, has become the style authority in the children’s space. The deep network both founders bring from their fashion and business backgrounds, along with Maisonette’s custom content and exclusive partnerships, differentiate the brand from all others in the market. And Maisonette’s blog, Le Scoop, which launched in June 2018, brings an editorial perspective found nowhere else in the market.
What You'll DoWe are hiring a Director of Growth Marketing who will report into the Chief Customer Officer. As a data-obsessed, strategic, and seasoned Growth Marketer you will be responsible for driving aggressive, sustainable revenue growth via quality customer acquisition and retention. You will do this through disciplined management of our paid advertising channels as well as partner on the growth contribution of our organic channels and brand marketing. You will be an important stakeholder in post click optimization of landing pages and SEO. Your goal is to build a healthy marketing mix across all available channels while managing to key quality metrics such as LTV/CAC and payback period.
Manage a multi-million dollar annual budget across a multi-channel marketing mix, with a focus on scaling new customer acquisition and revenue growth while achieving relevant company KPIs (revenue, CAC, LTV/CAC, payback period, ROAS, % new customers, repeat rate)
Lead paid budgeting and granular monthly revenue forecasts, ensuring execution is successful against annual budget goals
Build a strong, trust-based relationship with our paid digital agency; providing them with the information / assets / access for nimble execution and in turn receiving above average engagement with detailed performance reports and continuous optimization / innovation
Implement data-driven testing roadmap across messaging, creative, audience, frequency, channel mix, promotions and post-click landing experiences
Collaborate closely with others (brand / content marketing, email marketing, creative, product, merchandising, analytics) for key growth initiatives such as creative assets, brand campaigns, partnerships, retention strategies, SEO, landing page testing, data / marketing tech stack capabilities, product launches
Think out of the box about innovative, non-traditional acquisition strategies that are uniquely suited for Maisonette; nurture these strategies with a disciplined test, measure and scale process
What You'll BringThe ideal candidate will have experience setting overall growth strategy and execution across a variety of paid and organic channels. You are looking for a new challenge to build and drive Growth Marketing from the ground up at a financially healthy start-up. You are intellectually curious and analytically strong with an exceptional ability to interpret data and communicate findings. You have an innovation mindset that will drive experimentation in our marketing mix. You will be a steward of the brand and care deeply about the experience we deliver to our customers.
5+ years in performance marketing, paid optimization, and marketing analytics
2+ years managing digital agencies; ideally experience managing paid channels via agencies and in-house talent
A proven track record of efficient growth with budgets in excess of $5M annually
Combine analytical rigor with an emotional intuition for what it takes to build a brand
Capable and willing to execute both strategically and tactically; easily transitions between macro- and micro-level thoughts
Have an entrepreneurial spirit and crave a fast-paced environment where you can innovate and help build a disruptive business
Understanding of modern marketing technology and data analytics, including high proficiency with google analytics, data visualization tools, attribution modeling, and data feeds
Deep understanding of marketing’s relationship to overall financials
Excellent leadership and team-building skills; ability to motivate cross functional teams
